INDEPENDENCE DAY!!

So I was really sad that I wasn't going to be able to spend the 4th with my family in Burley, but my friends did a pretty good job at making it a good day! We started off by helping out in the parade. Joy, the assistant director for Dance Alliance, also directs the Idaho Ballroom Academy, and her kids were dancing in the parade, so we directed traffic and pulled the candy wagons. After the parade we walked around the park for a bit, and then decided to have a waffle party.

After a bunch of us devoured some tasty, tasty waffles and played a few rounds of ninja attack, we went to Smith Park and played a mean game of kickball. Here's the crew...

To cool down we went to G's Dairy and got two of the the 13 scoop bowls and shared it between us all...it was super good, and there was super a lot!

Afterwards we got invited to a BBQ at Kyle's parent's house in Idaho Falls (Kyle is a DA member as well). Not only did they provide us with a fantastic meal, and hours of entertainment in the form of a trampoline and a front yard, but they also saved us some amazing seats for the firework show there in IF! It was very generous of them, and it sure made this Independence Day one worth remembering!

I think I may have been slightly tired after the fireworks...
